Indoor air quality
Heating and cooling equipment moves air; a separate layer of equipment (humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners) shapes what's actually in that air.
Equipment that's easy to forget until it fails
Whole-house humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and air cleaners are usually mounted directly on the ductwork near the furnace or air handler, out of sight. And it is common for a homeowner to genuinely forget one exists until the house starts feeling noticeably dry, damp, or dusty. This section covers troubleshooting for that equipment.

Media cabinet, electronic cell, UV lamp or portable box: five different mechanisms sold under two interchangeable names.
Whole-house or portable, most failures trace back to a dirty filter, a full tank, or a coil that's iced over.
No power, weak airflow or a filter light that will not clear: usually a seating, filter or reset problem.
